The Fourth and so forth

I was not satisfied with New York's extensive list of Fourth of July activities, so I decided to visit my friend (and former roommate) Nick Venditti at his home in the lush greenlands of Northern New Jersey. Here are a few stillframe pictograms I happened to take during my travels.

This is where I got off the train, notice the tree-like structures in the background? Those are real! It seems I have been misinformed. The more time I spend in New Jersey, the less accurate my preconceived notions become.

The man himself.

In the span of 12 hours, I met nearly everbody Nick has ever known. Pictured here are several of his friends from high school, not pictured are about about 30 family friends and relatives.

Then, suddenly, a pack of appropriately themed playing cards appeared, and we had no choice but to play drinking games.

This is when things got really crazy

Playing original NES tetris on a widescreen television,I can almost hear Uncle Sam weeping with pride for his blessed nation.
